This network that unites researchers, industry specialists, professional bodies, fire and rescue services, government partners, funders, and construction-sector organisations to coordinate and strengthen fire-related research and learning across the whole fire safety system. Hosted independently within the Confederation’s neutral, system-wide Fire Chain framework, the network provides a collaborative platform where evidence, operational experience, academic insight, and industry practice are shared; where research needs are identified and prioritised; and where partners collectively generate the knowledge, guidance, and innovation the sector has long lacked but depends on for safer buildings and safer communities.
