The Passive Fire Protection Forum, which is supported by the Fire Sector Federation, has recently published a Guide to Undertaking Technical Assessments of Fire Performance of Construction Products Based on Fire Test Evidence.
The Guide promotes solutions within the context of effective fire safety design to ensure the reliability and quality of passive fire protection materials and systems are maintained. It also encourages Third-Party Certification schemes for the manufacture, installation, inspection and maintenance of products and systems.
The Guide relates to the provision of technical assessments that can extend the scope of design and application of a passive product or system by providing a robust and competent approach to these assessments.
