Government Responds to Hackitt report An Implementation Plan
The Government’s 62 page response to the Hackitt report in the form of a comprehensive Implementation Plan is at the centre of this Newsletter. Published on 18 December 2018 the report ‘agrees with the Review’s (Hackitt) diagnoses’ and seeks to help eradicate that ‘race to the bottom’ that destroys lives and fundamentally challenged the reputation of UK fire safety. Elsewhere the Select Committee on HCLG have taken evidence from Dame Judith Hackitt and the Minister Kit Malthouse.
